Our chickens and turkeys are purchased as day old chicks. They are fed a variety of sprouted grains like clover, alfalfa, oats, wheat, barley, and wheatgrass pulp. Our chickens and turkeys are pasture raised. Upon maturity, they are allowed to go in and out of the barn at their own. Each day at sunset, after a busy day of sunshine and eating what nature has to offer, they enter our clean safe barn for a night of rest and relaxation.
Both chickens and turkeys are processed at a Government-inspected facility called “Schefter Poultry Processing”. Turkeys can be bought fresh at Thanksgiving and frozen at Christmas. The chickens are processed throughout the summer to achieve a variation in weight.
