Hello friends,
February is often known as Cancer Awareness Month, and this is a topic that sits heavy on many hearts—including ours here at KC Acres.
Cancer is something most of us have been touched by in one way or another. Some stories end with strength, recovery, and relief. Others end in heartbreak and loss. Unfortunately, none of us are immune to that kind of pain, and that shared experience connects us all more than we sometimes realize.
This month, we want to pause and acknowledge those journeys—the fighters, the survivors, the caregivers, and the loved ones we carry with us every day. There is no “right” way to move through these experiences, but there is comfort in knowing we are not alone.
At KC Acres, what we do has always been rooted in care—care for the land, for our animals, and for the people who support our farm. When we talk about things like wheatgrass, we talk about nourishment, not miracles. Wheatgrass is rich in nutrients and chlorophyll and has long been used as a way to support overall wellness and help the body feel its best. It’s one small, natural way some people choose to care for themselves as part of a balanced, mindful lifestyle.
We believe that tending to our health—whether through food, rest, connection, or community—is an act of self-kindness. And sometimes, that kindness is what we need most.
Thank you for being part of our KC Acres family. This February, we stand with everyone who has been affected by cancer, holding space for hope, remembrance, and compassion.
With love and gratitude,
The KC Acres Family 💚
